✍️ The Design: The new flag of Salem Oregon (as of July 2022) consists of a blue stripe on the hoist edge, a white field, and a pink cherry blossom with a 5-pointed star in the negative space inside the flower. The cherry blossom represents the city of Salem, the star represents the fact that it is a capitol city, and the blue represents the Willamette River.
