âď¸Â The Design: For our "Better State Flag" series, our Louisiana Flag design was a pretty straight forward. We scrapped the entire Louisiana flag, pelican and all, and started from scratch. Pulling colors from Mardi Gras and the famous Fleur De Lis, this design came together pretty quickly. The gold band on the edge will flap in the breeze while the Fleur De Lis will be visible in most wind conditions.
