Ring caps are the paper-based cap strips that load into a toy cap pistol and give a sharp pop when the hammer falls. This listing covers the ring style, available as eight-shot and twelve-shot rings from Parris.
Each pack holds enough rings for 72 single-action shots, which keeps a prop pistol or Western reenactment supplied for a good while. They suit toy cap guns, cowboy and detective character work, and backstage effects that need an audible bang. Read the packaging warnings before use and keep them away from very young children.
Caps make a loud pop and a little smoke, so use them outdoors or in a well-ventilated space and keep them stored dry in their packaging. Adults should supervise, and the rings suit Western, detective and military-style costume play as well as sound effects for school and community productions.
