✍️ The Design: For our "Better State Flag" series, South Carolina took a while. As you know, the Palmetto has...issues. When the state tried to standardize the tree in 2021, woefully I might add, everyone hated it and it remains a free-for-all. So to make the South Carolina Palmetto Flag better, I turned to my friend Adam Eargle of Eargle Design. Adam is a South Carolinian and one of the most talented artists I know. His version of the palmetto is mature, symmetrical, and powerful.
